He was a graduate of Green Valley High School in Henderson, Nevada and worked as a waiter. Mr. Whiteaker was a member of Southaven General Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Betty Whiteaker, and Tommy D. Peters.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Suzanne Whiteaker of Cedar Town, Ga., and Renea Giles and Timothy Peters of Corinth, Miss.; one brother, Michael Whiteaker of Corinth, Miss.; one half-brother, Matthew Whiteaker of Cedar Town, Ga.; one step-brother, Daniel Scripper of Las Vegas; three step-sisters, Tiffany Peters, Brittany Peters and Whitney Peters all of Corinth, Miss.; his grandparents, Eugene and Fannie Giles of Corinth, Miss., Frances Peters of Corinth, Miss., and Jackie Griffin of Southaven, Miss.; and a special friend, Tosha McCormick.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth, Miss., with Rev. Don Thrasher and Rev. Steve Corbett officiating. Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Steve Bales, Conrad Brandon, Travis Hendrix, Greg Meriwether, Sr., Kenny Talley and Tommy Whiteaker.
Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth, Miss., was in charge of the arrangements.
