Charley Jones, 93, of Piggott died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

He was born Nov. 14, 1910, in Paragould, the son of the late Sam and Maggie Riggs Jones.

He was united in marriage to Marjorie Lucille Neighbors on Sept. 10, 1932. To this union three daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Lucille, in 1982; one granddaughter, Marsha; seven brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Glenn and husband, Harry, of Aliceville, Ala., Alma Joyce Watson and husband, Rex, of Piggott and Margaret Ellen Janes and Gary of Beebe; seven grandchildren, Franklin Glenn, Susan Jones, Alan Glenn, Denise Bingham, Kent Crowson, Mark Janes and Elizabeth Wells; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Ed and Clyde Jones of Piggott and Cleton Jones of Dyess, Ark.; three sisters, Elwanda Miller of Piggott, Ruby Stahl of Harrah, Okla. and Pauline Ewing of Paragould; and other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Willie Sandlin officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Verlin Moffitt, Larry Simpson, Ronald Sellers, Jerry Webster, Jimmy Graddy, Joe Henderson, and Bill Bingham.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
