Joyce Adavee Pillow, 61, of Greenway died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, in the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born May 23, 1942, in McDougal, the daughter of the late Odis Cleo and Edna Nixon Gilbee.

She was united in marriage to James S. Pillow on Sept. 17, 1960, to this union three children were born.

She is survived by her husband, James S. Pillow of Greenway; two daughters, Maria Barner and husband, Terry, of Lafe and Karen Stender and husband, Thomas, of Greenway; one son, Shannon Pillow and Mary of Greenway; two grandchildren, Jason and Amanda; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Gilbee and wife, Mary, of Overland, Mo., and Odis Gilbee and wife, Norma, of Rector; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with George Haygood officiating. Pallbearers were Stevie Hardin, Buryl Petty, Allen Gardner, Hardin Hill, Mike Hill and Virgil Broadway, Jr. Burial followed in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
