Jean Katherine Johnson

Jean Katherine Johnson, 76, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Piggott, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in the Magnolia Manor in Metropolis, Ill.

She was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Clint and Edna Williams Davis.

She was united in marriage to Edmon Johnson and to this union one daughter was born.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Woody Davis; and one sister, Galya Colin.

She is survived by her husband, Edmon Johnson of Paducah; one daughter, Sherry Jernigan of Paducah; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Nicole Weber of Paducah; one brother, Wes Davis of Ky.; two sisters, Mary Wagner of Mich. and Wanda Randall of Ala.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
