Sheriff asks for help locating missing man

Clay County resident Ronnie Hardin, 52, has been reported missing by the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

Hardin was last seen on Thursday evening, July 1. Family, friends and the sheriff's department have been searching for him.

Anyone with information that could help locate Hardin, or anyone who has any contact or sees Hardin is asked to call Sheriff Ronnie Cole at 870-598-2270.

The department said Hardin probably was wearing blue jeans, a red t-shirt and ball cap. He is 5-11 in height and has blue eyes and brown hair.

It is unknown if he was in a vehicle. His direction of travel also is unknown.

Hardin has been working part-time as a sports reporter for the Clay County Democrat in Rector and is well-known to many area residents. He also has covered numerous events in the Marmaduke area for the newspaper.

His family has had a home in the Ebenezer community west of Rector for many years.
