Bobby Ellis, 69, of Piggott, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in Jonesboro Health Care in Jonesboro, Ill.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1935, to the late Julaish H. and Hattie Knuckles Ellis.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister; and two brothers, J.R. Ellis and Randall Ellis.
Mr. Ellis is survived by three daughters, Stacy Willyerd of Jonesboro, Ill., Carrie Ellis of Makanda, Ill., and Mona Ellis of Ullin, Ill.; one son, Bradley Ellis of Breaux Bridge, La.; seven grandchildren, Cassie, Jacqueline, Nathan, Jordan, Nick, Olivia and Gabrielle; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Noah, Emma and Skyler; mother, Verna Ellis; four sisters, Winona Ellis, Barbara Joyce Ellis, Margaret Etta Ellis and Lois Juanita Ellis; five brothers, Albert Ellis, Julaish Henry Ellis Jr., Ivan Lee Ellis, Richard Charles Ellis and Sherman Julaish Ellis; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Charles Carrens and Albert Ellis officiating. Burial followed in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis. Pallbearers were Nick Brown, Jordan Brown, Nathan Ellis, Todd Willyerd, Keith Jordan and Herb Ellis.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
