Wylie Gale Harmon, 63, of Rector died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Keeler, Mich., to the late Wiley Dude Harmon and Viola Hall Harmon and was married Oct. 11, 1963 in Kennett, Mo., to Alice Pauline Wake.

He also was preceded in death by two sons in infancy and one brother, Houston Carter.

He was a longtime truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; one son, Aaron Harmon and wife, Shelly, of Rector; five daughters, Lisa Harmon of Rector, Kelly Washburn of Kennett, Robin Morris and husband Don, Amy Harmon and Haley Harmon, all of Rector; one sister, Janie Harmon Peterson and husband Bob of Kennett; one brother, E.J. Carter of Georgia; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Bullinger, Brock Walker, Allison Harmon Duncan, Alexandria and Kelsey Washburn, Harmony Brown, Eric Harmon, Luke, Seth, Bud and Toby Morris, and good friends Stephen Daugherty, Jim Walker and Jake Holifield.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett in charge of arrangements.
