Debbie Scott

Debbie Scott has been named as the new site manager for the B.R.A.D. Senior Citizens Center at the Piggott Community Center. Scott fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Ava Jean Crittendon after 31 years of service.

She is a familiar face to many. She has spent time as a substitute teacher at Piggott High School. Scott holds an associate's degree in secondary education from Three Rivers Community College and both of her daughters are teachers; however, she was seeking a new challenge when she applied for the position with B.R.A.D.

In her capacity as site manager, Scott is responsible for coordinating senior activities and meals on-site, as well as meals for homebound seniors, and taking the seniors on shopping trips and other outings.

Scott said she has one main goal, "To make sure the seniors have a good time."

She is the wife of Roger Scott, who is a farmer. They have two daughters. Shana Scott taught at Marked Tree during the 2004-2005 school year and will be getting married soon. Sara Wright and her husband, Brad, live in Brookland, where Sara teaches.
