She was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Alvin C. Crossno and Mable Rieves Williams.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Birmingham on Oct. 2, 1948. They had three children.
Mrs. Birmingham was baptized in 1954 and a member of the First Christian Church in Piggott. She was a beautician in Piggott for 30 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy, Earl and Harrison; and two sisters, Fay and Ila.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Birmingham of Piggott; three children, Marcia Williams and companion, Don Pool, of Batesville, Dale Birmingham of Cheyenne, Wyo., and David Birmingham and wife, Sherry, of Batesville; five grandchildren, Ashleigh, Lindsey, Josh, Bari and Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Daecia and Andre; 11 brothers and sisters, Willie, Raymond, Robert, Thelma, Shirley, Glenda, Sue, June, Virl, Darlene and Carl; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, in the First Christian Church with Duane Dutka and Nathan Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis. Active pallbearers were Josh Birmingham, Travis Cashion, Alan Vaughn, Tony Crittenden, Jerry Williams and Leon Williams. Honorary pallbearers included Dallas Patterson, Pete Gordon, Myron Rogers, Vernon Noles, Kenny Parker, H.A. Wellman and Leland Gibson.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
