He was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Milligan Ridge, the son of the late Nelson and Augusta Lindley Hoggard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Homer, Robert, Durey and Jess Hoggard; and four sisters, Mary Benefield, Alta Millingan, Lucy Ridley and Gladys Nash.
He is survived by his wife, Terina Hoggard; one son, Randy Hoggard of Dexter; one daughter, Teresa Dill of Puxico; two stepchildren, Katrina and Cody Baker, both of Puxico; four grandchildren, Contessa, Kevin, Patrick and Lindsey; one sister, Lorene Henson of Greenway; three brothers, Bobby Hoggard of Piggott, Jimmy Hoggard of Piggott and Charles Lawhorn of Paragould; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Ronnie Stephens officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers were Larry Ezell, James White, Jamie White, Chris McCoy, Donald Higdon and Gene Otte.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
