Billy Wayne White

Born June 23, 1929, in Cardwell to the late Sherman and Dora White, he was a farmer and a member of the Rector General Baptist Church.

Also preceding him in death was one son, Gary White; and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie White of the home; three sons, Jerry White and Neal White, both of Rector, and Robin White of Paragould; three daughters, Melinda Grooms of Paragould, Starlet Barker and Regenia Smith, both of Piggott; two sisters, Betty Gray of Owasso, Mich., and Juanita Horner of Little Rock; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Mark Book and Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ron Benson, Randy Rogers, Junior Carpenter, Clovis DeMent, Jim Mabrey and Ralph Featherston. Honorary pallbearers were Marion Gardner, Dwayne Birmingham, Buell Shelton, Donald Rogers, Mac Manchester, R.L. Hill and Ray Priest.

Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of the arrangements.
