Sgt. James Edward "Jim" Rainbolt

Sgt. James Edward "Jim" Rainbolt, 58, of Austin, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

He was an Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era, and was employed with the Arkansas State Police for 27 years. He attended the Beebe First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Rainbolt.

Survivors include his wife, Clarissa "Chris" Rainbolt of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Brent McCullar of Paragould and Leanna and Jeff Guillory of Columbia, Mo.; his mother, Ruth Helen Rainbolt of Paragould; brother, Billy Rainbolt of Charlottesville, Va.; sister, Ruth Ann Mondy of Springfield, Mo., and four grandchildren, Gena and Tyner McCullar and Lauren and Ben Guillory.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Terry Parrish and Rev. Tracy Henson officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Heath Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
