Cathey Carlene Fisher

Cathey Carlene Fisher, 71, of Piggott died on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born on May 17, 1934, in Senath, the daughter of the late Clint Adkins and Effie Pearson Davis.

She was united in marriage to Earl Fisher on May 15, 1976.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Davis, W.G. Davis, Paul Davis and Jim Davis; and three sisters, Irma Autry, Edna Hart and Pauline Massey.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Fisher of piggott; two sons, Derriss Essmyer and Leon Essmyer, both of Watervliet, Mich.; four daughters, Patricia Roetzel and husband, Rocky, of Kennett, Sue Burton and husband, James, of Copperas Cove, Texas, Peggy D. McCrory and husband, Michael, of Coloma, Mich., and Patricia Tober and husband, Stan, of Watervliet, Mich.; one sister, Wilda Dorhman of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Book officiating. Book was assisted by Mrs. Fisher's son, Derriss Essmyer. Burial followed in the Senath Cemetery in Senath. Mrs. Fisher's grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mitchell Funeral Service Inc. in Senath was in charge of the arrangements.
