Perry Owen Porter
Perry Owen Porter, 74, of Black Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1931 in Nelsonville to Marion Ewen and Bessie Goff Porter. Mr. Porter was a retired Corporal for the Arkansas State Police, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Sutton Free Will Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to Donna Lusk on Oct. 27, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Japilene Porter.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Porter of the home; three sons, Stan Porter of Springdale, Brad Porter of Paragould and Philip Porter of Siloam Springs; four grandchildren, Kaylie, Kirk, Logan and Mackenzie; two brothers Paul Porter of Cave City and Ken Porter of Batesville; two sisters, Mary Francis Cooper of Poughkeepsie and Mildred Scott of Sandoval, Ill. and his step-mohter, Lois Porter of Batesville.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 2 at Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Scott officiating. Pallbearers were Kirk Porter, Logan Porter, Lester Binkley, Paul Porter, Brad Porter and Stan Porter. Internment was in Lebanon Cemetery with Bryan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
