Richard Earl Hopple, 68, of St. Francis, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2007, in Ocala, Fla.

He was born April 29, 1939, in Lewistown, Penn., and was the son of the late Earl Herbert (Jerry) and Helen Marie McConathey Hopple.

He is survived by four children: Bobbie F. Hopple of Ocala, Richard Earl Hopple Jr. of Seagrove, N. C., Roy Earl Hopple of Silver Springs, Fla., and Rene Frazier of Malden; ten grandchildren: Taylor, Dylan, Andrew, Payten, Amanda Dawn, Michael Paul, Minnie, Molly Elizabeth, Ian, and William; four sisters: Sue Alexandra of Olds, Iowa, Judy Schiffer of Newport News, Va., Debbie Davino of Florida, and Peggy Gates of Olds, Iowa; ex-wife, Mary (Peggy) L. Hopple of St. Francis; and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 10, with funeral services immediately following in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Davey Winberry officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis. Pallbearers were Jerry Blackwell, Dale Pence, Gerald Black, Charles Brawner, Ronnie Lawrence, Andrew Pence, and Anthony Settlemoir. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
