Paul William Johnson

Paul William Johnson, 77, of Piggott, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at the University Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born May 17, 1930, in Canastota, N.Y., the son of the late Paul Willliam and Gertrude VanDusen Johnson.

He was united in marriage to Wilma Brown on Sept. 4, 1982.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie, and a brother, Jack.

He was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Johnson of Piggott; three sons, James Childers of Campbell, Steven Childers of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Jeff Childers of St. Francis; seven grandchildren, Leisa, Leah, James, Katelyn, Amber, Steven, and Camron; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Conner, Andrew and Samanda; three brothers and two sisters, David, Richard, Tom, Darlene and Barbara, all of Syracuse, N.Y., and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 25, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Randy Dalton officiating. Burial followed in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at St. Francis.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
