Mona Rose Gossett Bare, 73, of Piggott, died Monday, December 31, 2007.
She was born January 1, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Millage Baxter and Mildred Marie Campbell Gossett.
Mona was a loving daughter and sister, a very giving, generous person with many wonderful talents. She loved the Lord and shared His gift of salvation with many people.
Mona has gone to be with the Lord and the many loved ones who have already gone home. If she were here today, she would say, "Please trust in the Lord for your salvation and come home with us to share His wonderful gift of everlasting life."
She was preceded in death by one brother, David Gossett and one sister, Jane Mae Britt, and her sister-in-law, Delores Gossett.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Owens of St. Augustine, Fla., Todd Owens of Clawson, Mich., David Owens of Flushing, Mich., Jennifer Penokie of Highland, Mich., JoEllyn DePaul of Austin, Minn., Elaine Major of Madison Heights, Mich.; three brothers, Jerry B. Gossett of Dexter, Norman G. Gossett and Jeanie Cherry of Melbourne, and Richard and Debbie Gossett of Rector,; two sisters, Susan Krause of Piggott, and Judy and Dwight Messer of Barbourville, Ky.; and her aunt Nellie Gossett of Piggott,; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and other family and friends to morn her passing.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 4, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Richard Krause, Tony Kuczynski, Thomas Krause, Travis Gossett, Andy Gossett, Chris Angel, and Michael Gossett. Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Gossett, Michael Messer, David Gossett, Clay Gossett, Daniel Gossett, Tad Britt, and Brian Judge. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, was in charge of the arrangements.
