Jimmie L. Hoggard Sr.

Jimmie L. Hoggard Sr., 71, of Piggott, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008, at the Grand Manor Nursing Home in St. Louis.

He was born September 9, 1936, in Milligan Ridge, Ark., and was the son of the late Nelson S. and Augusta Lindley Hoggard.

He was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Benefield, Alta Millingan, Lucy Ridley, and Gladys Nash; and five brothers: Nelson, Homer, Robert, Druey, and Jess Hoggard.

He is survived by his son, Jimmie Hoggard Jr., of Piggott; his sister, Lorene Henson of Greenway; and two brothers, Bobby Hoggard of Piggott, and Charles Lawhorn of Paragould; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15, in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Bill Newman officiating, burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmie Hoggard Jr., Brandon Benbrook, Gene Otte, Jerry Hoggard, J.W. Hoggard, Frank Green, Steve McChristian, Nathan Hoggard, Randy Hoggard, Donald Box, Jerry Gibson, and James Hoggard.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
