Mr. Dalton died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Rocky Mount.
Burial with military honors was in the Highland Cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1965, in Piggott to Burness W. Dalton and Amanda Robinson. He graduated from Norton Community High School in Norton, Kan., where he was a state champion wrestler.
He joined the U.S. Army and served eight years and was stationed at Fort Sill. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and had full disability from the Army. While in the Army, he was a medic and then was trained as a chef. He served the base commander as his personal chef, while stationed in Virginia.
He married Yun Hui "Judy" Yi in Lawton on Feb. 20, 1993. She died May 31, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Michael Rutledge Dalton; a daughter, Amanda Kay Dalton and her mother, Bobbi Kay May; his mother and stepfather, Amanda Robinson Lane and Duane; his father and stepmother, Burness W. Dalton and Robin; four brothers, Steve Dalton, Fain Dalton and his wife, Sandra, Steve Lane and David Lane; three sisters, Cindy Lanik and her husband, Tim, Sue Fread and her husband, Monty, and Mary Stewart; three aunts, Tica Camp, Ruth Durham and her husband, Jake, and Paula Hollis and her husband, Fred; three uncles and their spouses, John Robinson and Judy, Corky Dalton and Eleanor, and Gary Dalton and Helene; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife; a sister-in-law, Darlene Dalton; his grandparents, L.D. and Mildred Whitaker Robinson and Burness O. and Julia Fain Dalton, and a cousin, Rick Robinson, preceded him in death.
