He had come to know the Lord in the past few years.
He was an electrician by trade. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and had combined his occupation into a hobby by stripping copper wires.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Flara Willie, and an infant brother.
He is survived by his brother, Vernon Willie and wife Valda of Piggott; two nieces, Debbie Piland and husband Steve of Piggott and Sandra Tate and husband Jim of Paragould; a great-niece, Tina Gummalauski and husband Steve of Piggott; two great-nephews, Royce Evans of Quinlin, Texas, and Justin Evans of Piggott; three great-great-nephews, Wil Whaley, Brady Whaley and Anthony Gummalauski of Piggott and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Bro. Mike Chadwick officiating. Burial followed at the Piggott Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brent Ezell, Justin Evans, Wil Whaley, Bruce Hall, Steve Piland, Steve Gummalauski and Bill Blake.
