Leland D. Johnson

He was the son of the late Ed and Clara Johnson of Piggott. He was the devoted husband of Blanche B. (Presley) Johnson, the father of Carl E. Johnson and Jennifer Pierce, the grandfather of Karen Pierce and the father-in-law of Jeff Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Merrel and Vernon Johnson, and sisters, Nelda Settlemoir and Edna Underwood.

He entered the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. He later located in St. Louis and retired from McDonnell-Douglas after 25 years.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles. Interment was at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
