Lester Reynolds

Lester Reynolds, 82, of Corning died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a farmer, operated a service station and was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.

He was born May 26, 1925, in Faulkner County, the son of the late Roy and Zera (French) Reynolds.

He was united in marriage to Eufaula Reynolds on Sept. 26, 1943, in Republican, Ark., and she preceded him in death Jan. 29, 2001.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Gary Lee Reynolds, Teddy Burl Reynolds and Jim Reynolds.

He is survived by two sons, Terry Reynolds of Corning and Ricky Reynolds of Stockton, Ill.; two daughters, Brenda Moore of Neelyville and Judy Lawrence of Kennett; two brothers, Charles Reynolds of Pilot Rock, Ore., and Zack Reynolds of Walla Walla, Wash.; four sisters, Marie Daraugh of Pendleton, Ore., Elowese Browning of Corning, Marvel Atkisson of Corning and Florene Rittenhouse of Pendleton, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Pastor Robert Moore officiating. Burial was in the Corning Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shane Carpenter, Rick Carpenter, Eric Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Todd Reynolds and Dean Reynolds. Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was charged with the arrangements.
