Clay County Times-Democrat: Obituaries: Clifford Dunlap (03/12/08)

Clifford Dunlap, 87, of Piggott died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Pollard, the son of the late Gentry and Myrtle Baker Dunlap.

He was united in marriage to Winnie Kathryn McCroy on July 19, 1946, and the couple had three children.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Dunlap in 1983, and three brothers, Roland, Otis and Doyle Dunlap.

Survivors include his sons, Gaylon Dunlap and wife Joan, Ronnie Dunlap and wife Sheila and Bryon Dunlap and wife Cindy, all of Piggott; six grandchildren, Kim Grimes, Rhonda Lockwood, Scottie Dunlap, Tray Rigdon, Courtney Dunlap and Derek McGuire; three step-children; seven step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tish Henry and Lucky Craig, both of St. Louis, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Gary Hancock officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery at Pollard.

Pallbearers were Greg Reeves, Charlie Toombs, Derek McGuire, Scottie Dunlap, Dale Arnold and Carlos Crittenden.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
