James Ora "Orie" Smart

James Ora "Orie" Smart, 93, of Memphis, formerly of Piggott, died Monday, March 31, 2008, in Memphis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at the South Thornton Street Church of Christ in Piggott. Burial will be in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

He is survived by a daughter, Joan S. Brown and husband Perry of Memphis; a brother, W.F. "Dub" Smart of Piggott; grandchildren, Kelli N. Jerome of Memphis and Craig Brown and wife Christy of Bartlett, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Paragould Children's Home, in Paragould or the Agape House of Memphis.

The arrangements were entrusted to the Bartlett Funeral Home of Bartlett, Tenn.
