Doyne Dowell "Tony" Green

Doyne Dowell "Tony" Green, 65, of Piggott died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at his home.

Mr. Green was born June 2, 1935, in Clay County to the late Byron and Eulah (Speer) Green. He was married Aug. 15, 1977, to the former Barbara A. Smith.

He worked as a mechanic for John Deere and was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. Green of the home; three sons, Shaun Green and Greg Green, both of Kennett, Mo., and Keith McClanahan of Blytheville; two daughters, Susie Vincent of Springfield, Mo., and Ruth Ann Williamson of Piggott; one sister, Charlotte Green of Covina, Calif., and six grandchildren, Alex, Traci, Jeremiah, Nicole, Shana and Andrea.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Tony Hill officiating. Burial was in Mars Hill Cemetery north of Rector.

Active pallbearers were Harold Speer, Aaron Speer, Darrell Speer, Fred Hicks, Bob Simmons and Bob Livesay. Honorary pallbearers were Conley Speer and Don Caldwell.
