Marvin "Pete" Mills
Marvin "Pete" Mills, 80, of Rector died Friday, May 18, 2001, at his home in Rector.
He was born March 30. 1921, in Malden, Mo., to the late William A. and Ida Mills. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, and was retired from Emerson Electric in Paragould.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Almarita Mills; two sons, Ronnie Keith and Darrell Dewayne Mills, and two brothers, Alvin Mills and Chalmer Mills.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Mills of Van Buren, Donnie Mills of Paragould and Randy Mills of Rector; two daughters, Melva Jo Farmer of Rector and Kay Grace of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Carl Mills of Kennett and Johnny Mills of Rector; two sisters, Mildred Layer and Garnetta Thomas of Rector; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Kenny Burns officiating. Burial was in Mary's Chapel Cemetery near Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Keith Cavaness, Wesley Mills, David Wheat, Larry Farmer, Tony Smith and John Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Bo Mills.
