Rubie L. (Coleman) Landis

Rubie L. (Coleman) Landis, 89, formerly of the Rector area, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at the Senath Nursing Home in Senath, Mo.

She was born April 30, 1912, in Murray, Ky., to the late John Robertson and Josephine (Garland) Robertson. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in this community. She also was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse L. Coleman; her second husband, Eric Landis; one daughter, Dorothy Louise Coleman, two brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Doris Coleman of Paragould and Jerry and Sandy Coleman of Vicksburg, Miss.; four grandchildren, Jeffery Coleman, Eric Coleman, Darren Coleman and Reed Coleman, and eight great-grandchildren, Shelby Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Daniel Coleman, Erica Coleman, Brittany Coleman, Alexandra Coleman, Katelyn Coleman and Jacob Coleman.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Cude Cemetery in Dunklin County, Mo., with Dennis Davis officiating. Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
