Garlon Alaric Robertson

Garlon Alaric Robertson, 87, of Marmaduke died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

A retired farmer, he was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Marmaduke to the late James Monroe and Mollie Brewer Robertson. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Zella Robertson, in 1998.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marmaduke.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Betty O'Dell. Kaylene and Charles Lewallen and Rosella Stokes, all of Marmaduke; two sisters, Dathel Gilmore of Jonesboro and Bernice Woods of Bethalto, Ill., nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, at the First Baptist Church of Marmaduke with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Cudd Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Marmaduke's Family Life Center.
