Imogene Murray, 80, of Rector died Aug. 24, 2002, at Rector Healthcare in Rector.
She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Rector to the late T F Guthrie and Lela (Sanders) Guthrie.
She married Alvin Murray May 16, 1942. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1998.
She was retired from Emerson Electric, was a member of Rector First General Baptist Church, and was a lifelong member of the community.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include five sons, Dewayne Murray of Kellar, Texas, Bill Murray of Paragould, Ken Murray of Rockford, Ill., and Rick Murray and Lynn Murray of Paragould; two daughters; Shirley Kraut of Rockford and Bonnie Steward of Kemp, Texas; two brothers; James Henry Guthrie of Paragould and Eugene Guthrie of Kennett; five sisters, Flossie Greene of Rector, Rena Eagle of Corcran, Calif., Erma Shelton of Paragould, Betty Cordell of Kennett and Mary Curtis of Rector; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 27, at Rector First General Baptist Church in Rector with James Henry Dortch, Kenny Burns and Jerry Gregory officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Brian Murray, Allan Murray, Shawn Steward, Brandon Greenhall, Keith Curtis, Darin Murray and Scott Schriber.
