Ruby Rachel Chadwick

Ruby Rachel Chadwick, 87, of Rector, died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

She was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Caruthersville, Mo., the daughter of the late E.L. and Josie Mullins.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and in-home babysitter. She was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Rector.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Drew Chadwick; two sons, Jimmie and Lawrence; one brother, Wesley Mullins; and one sister, Lillie Mullins.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Braman of Marmaduke and Dorothy Brady and son-in-law, William, of Dry Prong, La.; one son, Patrick Chadwick and daughter-in-law, Helen, of Rockford, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Mitchell Chapel in Rector with Bro. Adrian Parker and Bro. Mike Chadwick officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Bill Vangilder, Dwight Vangilder, James Vangilder, Howard Beaton, W.O. Layer and Lawrence Hamilton.
