Roy Lester Rhynes, 92, of McDougal died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Creal Springs, Ill.

He was born Jan. 22, 1911, in White Oak, Mo., the son of the late Oscar and Carrie Rhynes.

He was a farmer and was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal; one son, Charles Rhynes; two daughters, Ella Reeves and Louise Rhynes; three brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.

Survivors include two sons, Arlon Rhynes of Marmaduke and Larry Rhynes of St. Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Tullos of Campbell, Mo., and Kathy Beckwith of Creal Springs, Ill.; one brother; Vernon Rhynes of Paragould; five sisters, Aleen Mills and Orpha Brewer of Rector, Nellie Good of Paragould, Eva Rieker of Boulder, Montana, and Eletta Simpson of Boydsville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday March 22, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Tony Rhynes and Jimmy Anderson officiating.

Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were John Heering, Chris Beckwith, Brad Tullos, Jeff Reeves, Nathan Beckwith and Daniel Reeves.
