L. Geraldine "Gerri" Seal

L. Geraldine "Gerri" Seal, 74, of Mt. Carmel, Ill., died May 11, 2003, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

She was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Greenway, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Ida (Ragsdale) Griffith.

Mrs. Seal was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ in Evansville, Ind. She was an insurance agent for several years.

She married Don C. Seal on June 20, 1945, in Batesville. He preceded her in death March 1, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Patrica Woodring and husband, Joe, of Elizabethtown, Ky., Sharon Singer and husband, Rick, of Mt. Carmel, Ill., and Lynette Beuligmann of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Dewey Griffith of South Bend, Ind.; three sisters, Elsie McGee of Loma Linda, Calif., Midren Sheehan of Roanoke, Va., and Wilma McIntosh of Springdale, Ark.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today), May 14, in the chapel of Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, Ill., with burial following in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Washington Avenue Church of Christ Library in Evansville, Ind.

Short Funeral Home of Mt. Carmel, Ill., was in charge of the arrangements.
