She was born July 31, 1915, in Kennett, the daughter of the late Monroe and Dora Cornelison.
She was a housewife and a former employee of Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. She was of General Baptist faith and had been a member of the Blue Cane Church for 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Phillips; one daughter, Glenda Staggs; one sister, Mildred Dorris; and two brothers, Raymond and Trible Cornelison.
She is survived by one daughter, Jackie Prehm of Monticello; one brother, Elvis Cornelison of Rector; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. James Henry Dortch officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Height's Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jim Forrest, Jimmy Taylor, Dale Cornelison, Charles Smith, Danny Dortch and Avery George.
