He was born May 11, 1932 in Linden, Mich., to Theodore and Clara Chandler.
He was a Korean War Veteran and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.
Jan. 26,1957 he married Martha Midkiff in Angola, Ind.
Mr. Chandler retired in 1991 as a press operator for G.M. Grand Blanc, Fisher Body Division, after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; four sons, Eugene Chandler and wife Debbie, Edward Chandler and wife Donna, Ted Chandler, Jeff Chandler and wife Kimberly; two brothers, Raymond Chandler and wife Jane, Don Chandler and wife Donna; one sister, Madalyn and husband Sam Bunning; mother-in-law, Mattie Midkiff; four brothers-in-law, Charles Midkiff and wife Cindy, Marvin Midkiff and wife Sandy, Cloyce Midkiff, Carl Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Lortz, Brenda Jackson; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Khrysten, Matthew, Jeffery, Alicia and Chavez Espinoza.
Funeral services were held Sat. May 3, 2003 at McConnell Funeral Home in Fenton, Mich., with Pastor Samuel J. Fleming officiating. Internment was in Tyrone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were, Eugene Chandler, Ed Chandler, Ted Chandler, Jeff Chandler, Zachary Chandler and Marvin Midkiff.
