Marion Ebert Carpenter

Marion Ebert Carpenter, 69, of Rector died Sunday June 8, 2003, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Rector, the son of the late Henry Carpenter and Myrtle (Holifleld) Carpenter.

He was a television technician for Radio Shack and was a veteran of the Air Force. He was a member of the VFW and was of the Southern Baptist faith.

He was married Nov. 6, 1997, to Carol Lee Stockton Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bryan Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three stepsons, David McNew of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Shannon Rickman and Scott Daugherty of Kennett; one daughter, Melissa Carpenter of Jonesboro; two step-daughters, Patty Daugherty of Kennett and Loretta Lance of Montreal, Mo; two brothers, Herman Carpenter of Paragould and Marston Carpenter of Marmaduke; three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Kevin Sullivan officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
