Mary Drucilla Dortch

Mary Drucilla Dortch, 88, of Rector died Wednesday June 25, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

She was born on June 23, 1925, in Leonard, the daughter of the late Claude Boyd and Shirley( Phorahauer) Boyd. She was a homemaker, a member of Rector First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Rector Woman's Club and Rector Square Dance Club. She was a lifelong resident of the community.

She married Vernon Dortch on Jan. 16, 1935. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1998.

She is survived by one son, Charles Leslie "Chuck" Dortch of Rector; three daughters, Shirley Ann Patton of Kennett and Verna Jean Woods and Christa Lee Sanderson of Rector; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Irby Funeral Home is Rector with Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Leland Blackshare, Allen Earls, Joey Pruett, Perry Mills, Philip Taylor, Cecil Holifield, Donald Ray Pruett and Butch French.
