He was a retired supervisor from the GMC Truck and Coach Division in Pontiac Mich., where he had made his home for many years.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was very well loved and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Vaden; his son, Gerald Wayne Vaden; and three brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his brother, Doyle Cox of Rector; one daughter, Denise of Ventura, Calif.; grandchildren, Debbie (David) Hessig and Joey Wayne Vaden; great-grandchildren, Damon, Devin and Danielle Hessig, all of Ottertrail, Minn., Ricky Vaden, Katrina Kohl of Glennie, Tammy (Bob) Craig of Clarkston, April Bunnell of Lake Orion, Loretta (Charlie) Pirtle of Waterford, and John Bunnell of Oxford; many beloved nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Isobel "Pat" Coin of Pontiac and Glennie.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the Lott Baptist Church in Glennie, Mich. Burial was in the Glennie Cemetery.
