Joan Lilly Cannon, 69, of Blytheville, the widow of Minor Lilly and Jim Cannon, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born June 1, 1934, in Pollard, the daughter of the late John and Martha Kirk Barkemeyer, she was a longtime Blytheville resident and a retired secretary of the Engineering Dept. at the Randall Corp.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the WMU. She was a 1951 graduate of Rector High School, and according to her family, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Cannon leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Roy Ingram of Blytheville; her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Karen Lilly of Broken Bow, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Ashley Ingram and Nicholas Ingram of Blytheville, Bart Lilly of Tampa Bay, Fla., Jonathan Lilly and Lauren Lilly of Tulsa, Okla., Raymond Morton of Frisco, Texas, Joshua Morton of El Paso, Texas, Matthew Morton of Broken Bow, Okla., and Matt Bowdler of Blytheville; and two great-grandchildren, Kyle Morton of San Antonio, Texas, and Colin Morton of Frisco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Craft and Rev. Mitchell King, Jr, officiating.

Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge of arrangements.
