He was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Fagus, Mo., the son of the late Ersel and BirdieWatson Morris.
He married Norma Jean Wright on May 27, 1949, in Piggott.
He was a member of the Army Air Corps during World War II and worked on the assembly line at Associated Springs in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Ann Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Lee Ann Umlas of Rockton, Ill., and Jayne Marie Morris of Ann Arbor; one brother, Maynard Morris of Knobel; and two sisters, Jo Ann Hawkins of Springfield, Mo., and Lola Ames of Newalla, Okla.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Rev. Gary Hancock officiating.
Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
