He was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Clay County, the son of the late Henry Householder and Stella (Freeman) Householder.
He was a grain elevator operator and a farmer and was of the Methodist faith.
He married Lottie Lowe on Oct. 16, 1935, in Clay County.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Householder; one daughter, Betty Bracken; two brothers, Arthur and Loyd Householder; and three half sisters, Lora Alexander, Vera Bess and Bonnie Householder.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie; two sons Floyd and Maxine Householder of Trumann and Bob and Linda Householder of Jonesboro; one daughter, Stella Collier of Rector; one brother, Doyle Householder of Paragould; three half brothers, William Sylvester Householder of Van Buren, Ark., Lester B. Householder of Hayti, and Larkin Householder of Paragould; five half sisters, Lema Seymore of Caruthersville, Mary Anders and Loretta Chandler of Paragould, Joyce Christie of Alma, and Agnes Brisher of Hayti; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren.
