Gordon Arlen Nutt

Gordon Arlen Nutt, 61, of Rector died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003.

He was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Blue Earth, Minn., the son of the late Gordon Nutt and Dolores Nutt.

He married Karen Marie Hardin July 4, 1975 in Caruthersville.

He was a retired machinist and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rector.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; three sons, Pete Nutt of Jonesboro, Stanley Nutt of South Carolina, and B.J. Nutt of the home; one daughter, LaRhonda Prichard of Memphis; three brothers, Delaney Nutt of California, Donavon Nutt of New Mexico and Donald Nutt of California; four sisters, Sherry Rogers, Rita Stacy, Diana Ashley and LaDonna Curtis; eight grandchildren, Brittany Nutt, Bridget Nutt, Christen Nutt, Mary Catherine Nutt, Lauren Lawson, Hunter Prichard, Rachel Nutt and Shelby Nutt; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Mae Ruth Hardin of Rector; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Jimmy Anderson officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Steve Fox, Dick Harris, Dennis Cate, Johnny McDaniel, Brian Whitaker and Michael Spain.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Lynch, C.J. White, Bill Luter, Richard Simmons, Albert Brown and Ward Robinson.
