Fidel Merin Rodriguez, 29, of Rector died Thursday August 21, 2003, in an automobile accident on Highway 84 West in Kennett.

Born May 30, 1974, in Obrajuele Acambaro-GTO, Mexico to Samuel Rodriguez and Juana (Merin) Rodriguez, he had been a member of the community for 10 years. He was a roofer/foreman for Quality Roofing and was of the Catholic faith.

He was married to Tina Leighann Estes May 10, 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Tina of the home; one son, Kcodey Rodriguez of the home; one daughter Torrie Rodriguez of the home; his parents, Samuel and Juana Rodriguez of Obrajuele Acambaro-GTO, Mexico; mother and father-in-law, John and Polly Estes of Rector; three brothers, Ivan, Victor Hugo and Arturo Rodriguez, all of Mexico; eight sisters, Sandra, Margarita, Berenice, Irene, Lupe, Laura, Laticia and Estrella Rodriguez, all of Mexico.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Burns officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Jamie Cates, Bryan Hodge, Jesse Hager, Terry Whitlock, Cleo Ozbun, Charles Tune and Bub Foresythe.

Honorary pallbearers were Ron Brooks and David Pruett.
