He was born Oct. 7, 1918, at Hargrave Corner, the son of the late James Marion and Louissia Shaw.
He was a farmer and was of the General Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Zachary and Bob Shaw, and two sisters, Lottie Tucker and Lydia Myricks.
Survivors include his wife, Almareta Barker Shaw; two sons, Bob Shaw of Rector and Jim Shaw of Pollard; one daughter, Jane Shaw of Rector; one brother, George L. Shaw of Rector; one sister, Virginia Oldrham of Flint, Mich.; and three grandchildren, Craig, Chance and Cody Shaw of Pollard.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday August 25, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating.
Pallbearers were Chance Shaw, Cody Shaw, Mick Barker, Danny Barker, Steven Underwood and Jim Ingram.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
