Steven Ray Taylor

Steven Ray Taylor, 46, of Rector died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born Sept. 1, 1956, in Kennett, the son of Edward and Ozella Bowman Taylor.

He was united in marriage to Alice Darlene Johnson on Apr. 7, 1978, in Piggott.

He was a factory worker at Emerson Electric and a life long resident of this area. Mr. Taylor attended the Church of Christ in Nimmons.

He is survived by his parents, Edward and Ozella Taylor of Clay County; his wife, Alice Darlene Taylor of the home; one son, Derek Taylor of Russellville, Ark.; one daughter, Shannon Taylor of the home; his mother-in-law, Earline Johnson of Piggott; his grandmother, Della Redman; one brother, Scott Taylor of Piggott; two sisters, Sheila Dale of Rector and Shirley Decker of Cape Coral, Fla.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel at Piggott. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery.
