Born on Oct. 8, 1915, in Savannah, Tenn., to the late Oscar Ford and Roxie Jane (Smith) Ford, she was a homemaker and had lived in the community for 46 years. She was also a member of Pine Grove Apostolic Pentecost Church.
She married Lancer Taylor Qualls, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1970. She then married Hershul Cossey, who survives.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James Lewis Qualls; two daughters, Vera Lavelle Qualls and Wilma Mae Qualls; one sister, Thelma Middleton; six brothers, Theodore Ford, Allen Ford, Eldridge Ford, O'Dell Ford, Lawrence Ford and Edward Ford; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Hershul Cossey of Sikeston; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Eubert Randle and Janice Qualls of Piggott, Robert Eugene and Karen Qualls of Portageville, and Lorranie Qualls of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Helen Ruth and Roger Ricks of Stow, Ohio, Janis Williamson of Hanover, Md., Ilsa Faye and Arlon Rhynes of Marmaduke, Jo Ann and Doyne Shelton of Rector, and Eva Nell and Ricky Williams of Kennett; two brothers Wilburn Ford of Gulfport, Miss., and Carmet Ford of West Memphis; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (today) at Faith Christian Center in Kennett with Tony Rhynes and Timothy Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Nathan Shelton, Jonathan Qualls, Bruce Ricks, Timothy Williamson and Tony Rhynes.
