Bessie Jo Gill

Bessie Jo Gill, 76, of Kennett, sister of Robbie Gordon of Rector, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Guy, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Marvin L. and Erma B. Glover Poole.

She was married to Horace E. Gill, who preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1999.

She also was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Marilee Orvin; three brothers, Marvin R., Hoyet and Rayburn Poole, and one sister, Betty Williams.

Other survivors include two step-daughters, Eugenia Meadows of Knoxville, Tenn., and Maylin Foote of Fort Meyers, Fla.; four brothers, Jimmy Poole of Natchez, Miss., Jerry Poole of Kennett, Larry Poole of New Iberia, La., and G.W. Poole of Bonne Terre, Mo., and two other sisters, Patsy Hulett of Tulsa, Okla., and Deborah Lormand of Nashville, Tenn.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 17) at Memorial Gardens in Kennett with Rev. Bud Evans officiating. McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
