The daughter of the late Alfred Marion Stokes and Stella Miller Stokes, she was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Clay County. She was a retired beautician and had lived in Rector and Caruthersville, Mo., her entire life. She was a member of the Fifth and Pine Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil (Sig) Graham and her second husband, Paul Frets; two brothers, Ed and Edward Stokes, and two sisters, Bertha Cook and Ruby Gatewood.
Survivors include one stepson and his wife, Paul Wiley and Jerry Frets of Radford, Va., and a niece and her husband, Martha and Don Ward of Kennett, Mo.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Ken Roden officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Michael Lindsey, Weldin Wimberley, Lynn Wimberley, Bill Benson, Terry Wyatt, Ron Benson and Dave Young.
