Mary Elizabeth Hardin Nichols

Mary Elizabeth Hardin Nichols, 84, of Huntsville, Ala., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at her home.

She was a member of the Memorial Parkway Church of Christ in Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.R. (Bud) and May Hardin of the Rector/Marmaduke area.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Flavil H. Nichols, evangelist; one son, Jimmy Nichols, of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Peggy) Champion of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Amy and Brandon Champion of Huntsville, Christina Nichols of Katy, Texas, and Brandon Nichols of Houston; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Hall of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. David (Marie) Street of Memphis; one brother, Max Hardin of Jonesboro, and a host of extended family, church family and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Sixth Avenue Church of Christ in Jasper with burial at Walker Memory Gardens.

Kilgore Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
