Wayne Estes Phillips

Wayne Estes Phillips, 89, of Kennett, Mo., formerly of Rector, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at NHC in Kennett.

Born Dec. 15, 1914, to the late Alvie Phillips and Beaulah (Province) Phillips, he was a farmer, a lifelong member of this community and a member of the Church of Christ.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Irene (Hampton) Phillips.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Carol Phillips of Marmaduke and DeWaughn Phillips of Rector; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Buddy Parrish of Rector; 10 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Ken Roden officiating. Irby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
