She was born Nov. 22, 1920, in Gibson, Mo., to the late John Eaton and Emma Melvina Piercy.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Glessner Benson; one son, David Benson; two brothers, Johnny Piercy and Raybourn Wright, and one sister, Minnie Kroeker.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Ronnie Curtis of Marmaduke; one brother, Lloyd Wright of Dinuba, Calif.; two grandchildren, Angela Froman of Marmaduke and Chris Benson of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Charlie Froman of Marmaduke and Austin and Hanna Benson of Jonesboro, and one daughter-in-law, Sharon Benson of Marion.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, July, 25, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Mike Benson, Leland Blackshare, Jerry McIntosh, Alan Froman, Bill Martin and Steve Curtis.
